The center has three main tasks:

1. Provincial network of museums:

• “Coronel Simón Reyes Hernández” Provincial Museum
  
• Museum of Decorative Arts
• 9 Municipal Museums (Bolivia, Ciro Redondo, Florencia, Majagua, Caonabo de Morón, Baraguá, Primero de Enero, Venezuela and Chambas)
• Los Buchillones Site Museum in Punta Alegre
• Pedro Martínez Brito Birth Home in Ciego de Ávila
• “Patria o Muerte” Museum of Sugarcane Industry  in Morón (It belongs to “Azcuba” Industrial Group).

2. Office of Monuments, Sites, and Historical Centers:

• Set of monuments in Lázaro López; place where the Invading Army was definitely founded in 1895, National Monument.
• Júcaro-Morón Fortress Line, National Monument (restored Km)

3. Provincial Registry of Cultural Assets.
