For the peak period this Wednesday, the Electrical Union estimates the recovery of 50 MW in distributed generation engines that are out due to fuel and the entry into service of unit 3 of the Santa Cruz TPS with 50 MW.

With this forecast, for the peak period an availability of 1560 MW and a maximum demand of 3240 MW are calculated, for a deficit of 1680 MW, therefore, if the predicted conditions persist, an outage of 1750 MW is forecast for this period.

The UNE reports that yesterday the service was affected for 24 hours and remained affected throughout the early morning of today. The maximum outage due to a generation capacity deficit this Tuesday was 1772 MW at 19:30 hours, higher than planned due to the shutdown of the Moa engines and the Energás Jaruco combined cycle.

The energy production from the 32 new photovoltaic solar parks was 2292 MWh, with 472 MW as the maximum power delivered during the midday period from this generation source.

The availability of the SEN at 06:00 hours today was 1460 MW and the demand was 2730 MW, with 1082 MW affected by a capacity deficit. For the midday period an outage of 1300 MW is estimated.

Among the main incidents, the company identifies:

Fault: Unit 2 of the Felton TPS, Unit 3 of Santa Cruz, Unit 8 of Mariel and Units 3, 5 and 6 of the Renté TPS.
Maintenance: Unit 1 and 2 of the Santa Cruz TPS and Unit 4 of the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes TPS in Cienfuegos.
Thermal limitations: 312 MW out of service.

Problems due to a lack of fuel

47 distributed generation plants with 295 MW.
240 MW unavailable due to a lack of lubricant.
Total MW affected by this cause: 535 MW.
