The Directorate of the Electrical Company reports that during the day of yesterday interruptions were reported in the primary distribution lines of the Guayacanes, Falla, Ranchuelo and Nereida circuits due to damaged devices on the network.

Furthermore, interruptions were reported, associated with transformers:

Of the A 106 circuit on C Street between Narciso López and Martí, of the A 206 circuit on Third Street between Margarita and Tejar, of the Combinado Minaz circuit in the building at the centre of the square, of the A 110 circuit on Central Highway between 7th and 8th, of the Florencia circuit on Julio Antonio Mella Street between Esteban Recino and Méndez Peñate, of the Gaspar circuit in El Pilar, of the Jicotea circuit in Barrio Seco, of the Morón Sur circuit in building 8, of the Peonia circuit in El Barro, of the Falla circuit in El Calvario, of the Morón Norte circuit on Agramonte Street between Martí and Castillo, of the Cítrico II circuit in El Mexicano, of the Isaca circuit in the Tres Catorce and of the San Fernando circuit on Goicuria Street between Narciso López and Marina, due to damaged devices on the network.

Yesterday the electrical service was affected by a deficit in generation capacity throughout the day, with a maximum of 101 MW.

The availability of the SEN at 06:00 hours is 1680 MW and the demand is 2730 MW, with 1082 MW affected by a capacity deficit. For the midday period an outage of 1150 MW is estimated.

Unit 8 of the Mariel TPS, unit 3 of the Santa Cruz TPS, unit 2 of the Felton TPS and units 3, 5 and 6 of the Renté TPS are out of service due to faults. Units 1 and 2 of the Santa Cruz TPS and unit 4 of the Cienfuegos TPS are under maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation are 307 MW.

54 distributed generation plants are out of service due to fuel issues, accounting for 270 MW, and 229 MW are unavailable due to a lack of lubricant, for a total of 499 MW.

For the peak period, the recovery of 50 MW is estimated in distributed generation engines that are out due to fuel.

With this forecast, for the peak period an availability of 1730 MW and a maximum demand of 3400 MW are estimated, for a deficit of 1670 MW, therefore, if the predicted conditions persist, an outage of 1740 MW is forecast for this period.

This morning, the Antonio Guiteras TPS went offline due to a boiler failure and unit 6 of Energás Boca de Jaruco went offline due to sargassum in the intake channel; therefore, for today an outage exceeding 100 MW is estimated.

    • We do not have a schedule for today due to the complex energy situation the country is experiencing; the circuits will be affected or restored depending on the deficit required at each moment of the day, which is highly variable.

    • It is also important to take into account that there are prioritised circuits associated with hospitals, and with water and dairy supply.
